About Us

For 17+ years, Rachyl, founder of WonderRoots Learning, marveled at children’s sense of wonder & curiosity. As an early educator in a preschool classroom, Rachyl rooted her teaching in play based emergent curriculum offering children experiences capturing discovery and learning into an organic yet educational environment.

Throughout her time in teaching a variety of ages, Rachyl continued to gravitate her teaching practices around the wonder & curiosity of preschool & pre-kindergarten even through raising a family of five young children.

As the 2020 pandemic arrived and the world took a halt, so did the lives of so many children. Working parents were faced with combatting work and sustaining a healthy home for their family.

Rachyl recognized the challenges that families were facing during the pandemic, especially working parents who were struggling to balance their work responsibilities with taking care of their children at home. She knew that this was a time when her expertise and experience in early childhood education could make a real difference.

With a heart full of compassion and a mind brimming with creative ideas, Rachyl decided to offer activity resources on social media for parents.

Through these activity resources, Rachyl was able to create a sense of community and support for families, helping them to turn the difficult circumstances into opportunities for growth and connection. As the world slowly began to reopen, Rachyl's dedication to supporting families continued to shine bright, showing that even in the darkest of times, there is always a light of hope and positivity to guide us forward.

And thus birthed WonderRoots Learning..
