Kindergarten Readiness Academy
Ages 4-6
Kindergarten readiness at WonderRoots Learning is about building confident, capable learners—not rushing academics. Through play, routine, and strong relationships, children develop the skills they need to transition with ease.
Daily Check In
The Wonder Warm-Up is where our day begins! Children sign in, practice name recognition, and take ownership of their arrival.
Just like a flower greeting the sun, this simple ritual helps them feel grounded, welcomed, and ready to grow.
Social-Emotional Connection & Care
In the Care Project, each child brings home our beloved classroom rabbit Zippy (it’s stuffed) for a week adventure in care and kindness. When Zippy returns, classmates share their stories—
Growing empathy, responsibility, and joy, just like roots growing stronger through shared experiences.
Cognitive Skill Building
In the Number Nook children sharpen their thinking skills by making thoughtful guesses about quantities, sizes, or weights.
Just like roots explore the soil, their minds explore possibilities—growing confidence in math and problem-solving.
Building Self Confidence
At WonderRoots, we believe every day is a story worth telling. In our Feelings & Findings journaling activity, children reflect on their day through drawing, early writing, or storytelling with a teacher. This practice helps them process their experiences, build language skills, and develop a sense of pride in their growth.
Just like seeds in a garden, their thoughts and ideas are planted and nurtured, blossoming into confidence and curiosity over time.
Rooted in Wonder
At WonderRoots Learning, kindergarten readiness grows naturally through play, connection, and curiosity. Rather than rushing academics, we nurture the whole child—building confidence, independence, emotional awareness, and a genuine love for learning.
Through child-led exploration, thoughtful routines, and strong relationships, children develop the social, emotional, and foundational skills they need to thrive in kindergarten and beyond. When learning is rooted in wonder, children don’t just feel prepared—they feel capable, curious, and excited for what’s next.
Strong roots today create confident learners tomorrow.
